They’re fast, and they’re furious!

Hey!

I can’t stop talking about the newly released movie Fast & Furious 6. For anyone who hasn’t seen it and enjoys a little bit of action in their lives I strongly suggest you pick a theatre near you and watch it! Fast 6 was honestly an amazing movie I must say. I couldn’t sit still in my seat for the entire two hours and ten minutes.

Hobbs, (played by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) has been tracking a group of fatally trained mercenary drivers spread across 12 countries, whose mastermind, (played by Luke Evans), is helped by actress Michelle Rodriquez playing a cruel assistant, exposed to be the love that Dom thought was killed. The only way to take down this criminal team is to outmatch them at street level, therefore Hobbs asks Dom to bring together his best team in London. The reward given for the completion of the mission is full pardons for each and every one of them so that they can return to their homes and make their families complete again.

Just writing that has brought back the chills I felt watching this extraordinary film. It was very well done and beautifully filmed; the action felt so real, as if I was in the movie myself. Not to mention it was also extremely comedic. Reviews on Slash Film state: “Lin has two really great things going on in Fast and Furious 6. First, the story uses characters and situations from the previous films to drive the action forward, linking the movies together with very satisfying emotional bonds. This gives this film a deep grounding, and raises stakes that are totally new to the franchise.” “With Fast and Furious 6, Justin Lin has created the Fast and Furious movie fans never imagined was possible. It’s bigger and more exciting than Fast Five…”

The Purge

Hey guys,

Who has seen the movie “The Purge” so far? For any one who doesn’t know what it’s about, here is a little recap of the movie:

The Purge is a thriller that pursues a particular family in the course of one night. Four people are tested to what extent they will go in order to shield themselves when the exterior world breaks into their home. The government has authorized a yearly 12-hour period where any and all criminal activity becomes completely legal. The police and the hospitals cannot be called for help. This night is the one night when the population regulates itself without idea of penalty.

How insanely crazy does that sound? Pretty ridiculous in my opinion, however, very intriguing. HOT AIR states in a film review of this movie that “Frankly, it’s one of the most ridiculous and ignorant films I’ve seen in a very long time.” And that “It’s not even fun enough to watch for giggles over how bad it is. In fact, I’d suggest that anyone who watched this nonsense will spend several days attempting to purge themselves of the memory.”

Although many reviews have said that this movie is not worth watching, I am just dying to see it as I am truly in love with horror and thriller films. So much suspense and adrenaline! For anyone interested in watching this insane and adventurous thriller, be sure you are 18 years of age or accompanied by someone of that age as it is rated R!

Nigel Lythgoe fired?

Hey followers!

Have you guys heard the latest news? Nigel Lythgoe, judge on American Idol has been reportedly fired from the show! Can you believe it? He tweeted on June 8^th “just had 10 days in the Bahamas, rain everyday. I get back to the States and get fired. Sad! Monday we choose our top 20. I’ll smile again.” He then later on tweeted “Yes, don’t worry I’m on #SYTYCD. FOX still loves me. It’s not a personal thing they just feel IDOL needs new leadership after 12 Seasons.”

An insider told Us Weekly that the removal of Nigel from the show was merely one of many that FOX has in stock. Apparently they are acting as such in order to try and bring back what American Idol once was. In season 12’s finale during May, ratings sunk to a record low, with a 33% drop from the previous year. The source explains that “They are totally revamping the show for next season,” and “They want to freshen up the entire enterprise from top to bottom.”Nigel’s and executive producer Ken Warwick’s departures were soon after confirmed by FOX in the following statement:

“The passion and dedication that Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warwick brought to American Idol guided the show to become a true cultural phenomenon,” “While we are saddened they will no longer be executive producers on the show, we are grateful for their tremendous contributions and look forward to continuing to work with them on additional projects.”

Show Update- Blast from the past!

Remember when? So for today’s blog were gonna share some past gossip that we never got to share with you!

First of all, the 19-year old pop sensation Justin has done it again. Justin posted 2 shirtless pictures of himself on instagram! I’m sure all the beliebers went crazy; Justin captioned his picture “Uh oh @justinbieber is losing it taking shirtless pics in the mirror.”

Justin was in Amsterdam to visit the Anne Frank House. When he left he wrote a note in the guest book saying, “ Truly inspiring to be able to come here. Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a belieber.” Justin is extremely rude and disrespectful.

Rumours have it that Ke$ha thinks One Direction’s Harry or “Mop Top” s pretty cute. She even said that it would be really fun taking it to the next level. SCANDALOUS!

Ke$ha’s new TV series “Ke$ha: My Crazy Beautiful Life” premiered in April. Has anyone seen it?

Who’s tuned into MTV’s Awkward this season? I personally love it! There’s so much drama between Maddy and Jenna this season, however they are still standing strong. I have a strong feeling there will be a break up in the near future. Now that Jake is out of the picture will a new boy sweep her away? Just watch and find out! Every Tuesday at 10:00 PM.

What do you guys think of Demi’s new album? I like how it’s very personal and meaningful to her. Demi has gone such a long way since Camp Rock and she has become an incredible inspiration for so many people who have eating disorders.

Justin & Selena Updates

Hey gossipers it’s DJ Squid here filling you in on all the latest news! Don’t forget to tune into the last show of the season. Tuesday at 12, aka tomorrow on 90.7 RAV FM.

In other news, there’s quite a lot of drama going on in Justin and Selena’s life.

In 2010, a 27 year old woman claimed that Justin Bieber impregnated her.  However, Justin claimed the baby wasn’t his on a recent tweet last week. He said “I deal with this everyday. Thank though. The baby aint mine either.”

Selena was spotted going out for lunch with her co-star from wizards of waverly place, David Henrie. A source told the Hollywood life that while Justin is seeing other girls, Selena is moving slowly and focusing on her career. Will David and Selena turn into the next Hollywood couple?

Selena just released a new song called “Slow down”. Rumours say that the song is about Justin and their breakup. Let’s analyse the lyrics and let you be the judge.

Oh, oh
Can we take it nice and slow, slow
Break it down and drop it low, low

Is Selena asking Justin to take it nice and slow? Or is their relationship done forever?

Maybe not, apparently Justin told a source his opinion on Selena’s music. He said “he likes it, he thinks it’s OK”. I’m guessing Justin is over Selena too.

“[Selena]‘s finally taken some of their advice to heart and swears it’s finally over with him, for good,” a source says. “She doesn’t see herself getting back together with him and just needs to move on. For a minute she thought she could ‘save’ him. But she’s over him and his childish behaviour.”

Will these young ex-lovers ever move on? Who will their next sweet hearts be? Any predictions?

The troubles and hard times: Amanda Bynes

Hey guys!

So as many of you may already know Amanda Bynes has been behaving out of nature In the past couple of weeks. She has been posting insulting and possibly racist tweets, and has even accused the police of treating her improperly. It was reported that Amanda has thrown out drug supplies out the window, in her case being a bong. She has definitely not keeping a positive image for herself and certainly not being a very good influence on her fans.

This young artist has struck once again.  On Thursday, June 6, Amanda tweeted, “Drake has the ugliest smile, ugly gums uneven teeth ugly eyes”. She later added, “I won’t deny calling @drake ugly.” 26 year old Drake hasn’t answered or responded in any way to any of Amanda’s comments about him. He’s just considered the most recent victim in her storm of insulting tweets. On May 29, she called ‘N Sync member Lance Bass “an ugly ex boy band member with no talent or career.”

Amanda is really creating and awful example to kids and teens around the world who look up to her. She is going through a really hard time right now and has had to deal with a lot of things. I am personally truly upset about this as it is possible that she may have mental health or substance abuse issues.  One guess could be that she didn’t have a very enjoyable life in her younger years and is now attempting to re-do those years but is doing this with out the proper guidance and support. The rest of the Girls In Motion and I miss the old Amanda we used to always watch on the Amanda Show and we want her back! We all want to wish all the best and good health to this 27 year old actress.

Hey everybody it’s DJ Squid from 4girlsinmotion keeping you updated on all the latest news and gossip!

So as you all know the beautiful and lovely Kim Kardashian is pregnant! The father of the baby is Kanye West, who is a singer/rapper.  Kim is predicted to have a girl; I wonder what she’ll look like!! What do you think she’ll name her?

Ever thought you’d see a nude pregnant sculpture before? Well you thought wrong! Daniel Edwards, an incredibly talented artist has gone over the top on his latest masterpiece. Edwards created a life size nude sculpture of Kim Kardashian pregnant! Talk about weird! The sculpture is entitled L.A.Fertility and is currently on display at LAB ART Gallery in Los Angeles.

“I was inspired by the beauty of Kim Kardashian and felt quite put-off by the media’s criticism of her weight gain during pregnancy,” Edwards said in a press release.

There has been no word yet if Kim Kardashian, herself will come down to the gallery to see her own statue.

The artist has made a big name for himself. He has created many unique art pieces for celebrities such as Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez nude, Britney Spears giving Birth and Also Angelina Jolie nursing!

Who will this artist sculpt next? We’ll just have to wait and see!

Red Carpet Premiere of Now You See Me

Hey bloggers! It’s DJ squid here from 4girlsinmotion.

I want to share my experience at the red carpet premier at the scotiabank theatre, and give a movie review! So, on Wednesday, May 29^th I took the long trek to down town Toronto to see the exciting movie premiere!  The premiere was hosted by eone films. When I first arrived there was an incredible magician, Ray Chance performing close up magic outside the theatre. There were also staff members giving out free decks of cards with the movie poster on the front!

When I first entered the theater there was a red carpet with some local Toronto television stars being interviewed! Afterwards, Jesse Eisenberg, one of the main stars of the movie made his way down onto the red carpet to be interviewed by various media press. It was so thrilling to see this astonishing actor in person. He is just as cute in person!!! I entered into the movie theater, and found my seat, and waited for the movie to begin. To my surprise Jesse came in front of the whole theater to tell us about his movie. Before the film Eisenberg said “All you Canadians are so polite, so even if you don’t like the movie, just tell me you do.” The film is about 4 magicians who perform shows, and in their acts they steal money from banks and give it to their audience. “Now you see me” was truly an incredible and magical film. It makes you believe in magic, and takes you into a world that you can’t ever imagine. If i were to rate this movie id give it 5 stars! I highly recommend everyone sees this movie!

Recap of yesterday’s show…

So for anyone who missed our regularly scheduled show of GIRLS IN MOTION at 11:40 on Tuesday, I’m here to catch you all up.

Remember our interview with Kasey Roar a few weeks back? The main singer on Romance with a Rocketship? Well in the interview he promised to send us a copy of his new single… and he did! We started the show off with playing Kasey Roar’s new single, Stranger. All of us here in the studio loved it and are excited to hear what else he has in store for the future. We would like to thank Kasey Roar for sending it to us and allowing us to play it, I’m sure all the listeners were very impressed with his musical talents and charm!

The next topic of discussion was Miley Cyrus’s new song ‘We Cant Stop’. This song is fun and catchy, really showcasing the new and authentic Miley! Miley said that “Everyone always judges and says what they want, but my fans have really stood by me no matter what I’ve been through, and this is a song that says where I’m at in my life right now” on an interview with Ryan Seacrest. Now we are eagerly awaiting the release of Mileys album to follow this single… remember to post your opinions below about what you think of her new single!

On the show Glee, one of the stairs Charice has openly came out of the closest! She was interviewed on ABS-CBN program The Buzz and said “Yes, I am a tomboy,” as her eyes filled with tears.

The movie Now You See Me has finally premiered! Let us know what you think if you have seen it! Dj Squid got to go to the premiere and said how amazing it was.

To end the show, Channing Tatum and his wife Jenna Dewan – Tatum had their first child, a baby girl! Congratulations to the happy couple and nothing but the best for them and their newborn baby.

Interview with Daniel Melul

Hey guys!

So for anyone who missed last week’s show on Thursday where we interviewed rising star Daniel Melul, here is a little recap for you guys.

Young, talented and motivated, Melul is from right here in Vaughan, Ontario. This amazing and aspiring rapper is well on his journey to becoming the next big thing! Accompanying him on his interview with 90.7 RAV fm were his friends Yona Shmitz Durbach, Dylan Resnick and Jamie Rosenberg, an awesome and super funny group of people. Melul shared with us his experiences performing on stage along with his show where he opened up for the one and only Kardinall Official. How crazy is that? His crew as well talked about their experiences watching their friend from the crowd. Although he was nervous, he said the opportunity was amazing, as well gave him the confidence for future shows. He also talked about his hard times and struggles being an artist such as having friends who have faded away, and gave powerful advice that in order to be respected, you have to respect others yourself. On top of it all, we had the opportunity of listening to him freestyle for us live on air. Quite the artistic young man we must say; his skills are crazy good!

We want to wish him all the best and the greatest of luck in his future career!
